Mistakes to avoid before buying a USB hub
A hub can advertise a long list of connections and still disappoint if the HDMI output is limited, charging is too weak or USB speeds drop with an external SSD. For a desktop setup with display, network and storage, choose a better-equipped and better-powered model.
Also check the port on your computer. Not every USB-C port offers the same functions. To use an external display, Power Delivery or high transfer speeds, the PC or Mac must support them too.
